About me

I moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina, from London in December 2011. I come from an editorial background and previously worked as a journalist. I have spent the last few years working in digital media for a major UK charity, developing my design and editorial skills, before moving into language teaching and coaching.

I am a qualified English teacher with experience of small classes and one-to-one lessons, and I hold a Cambridge ESOL Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA). I specialise in pronunciation and intonation and in building the confidence of non-native language speakers.

I am available for hire as a language tutor and on a freelance basis for graphic design, copywriting and editorial purposes or for consultation work regarding text written in British English.

Corporate coaching

I also work as a corporate language coach for business professionals on a short-term basis. This involves coaching people whose first language is not English to improve the delivery and fluency of key pitches, presentations and speeches at conferences and conventions. Corporate coaching can also include editorial work on the text you wish to deliver; I can edit and improve your company’s text and teach your staff how to deliver it.

Editorial work and writing for the web

I have worked in editorial roles for the past ten years and am available for freelance editorial work in British English. I also have over five years experience of working in digital media and used to run workshops teaching people how to write for the web. I can run these workshops in your company or business or can edit your existing copy so it matches your target audience.

Learning English

As a English language teacher, I am also available for private lessons, small group lessons and business English courses for workplaces. I also offer a monthly course package (2 lessons per week) for those who wish to learn quickly, complete with regular emails, suggested reading material and homework. Every course I teach is tailor-made and designed for each student. This means you will be interested and engaged in your course and will focus on what you need to learn and improve.

I teach all levels of English, it does not matter if you are a beginner and you know just a few words or whether you’re fluent and you want coaching to improve your your accent.
